JEFFERSON - Adolph John Laubmeier, 90, of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 20, 2018, at the home of his daughter in Summit.
Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Linfield, Pennsylvania, Adolph was the son of the late Frank and Marie (Winklemeyer) Laubmeier. His brother, Frank Laubmeier, predeceased him.
He was a 1945 graduate of Jefferson Central School.
Mr. Laubmeier was married to Louise (Roeser) Laubmeier on Sept. 23, 1950. Their union lasted 60 years, until her passing in 2010.
Adolph was owner and operator of Laubmeier Dairy Farm on West Kill Road, Jefferson, and later worked as a custodian for Jefferson Central School until his retirement. He also served as Town of Jefferson Assessor for several years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of the Grange, the Soil and Water Conservation District, and for more than 50 years was a member of the Jefferson Fire Department.
Adolph is survived by three daughters, Theresa (Gordon) Miller of Stamford, Kathryn (John) Bulka of Summit and Audrey (Jeffry) Huse of Guilderland; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Watson, Rebecca Evens, Jonathan Miller, Rachel Stoesser, Zachary Bulka, Jesse Bulka, Anna Wolters, Justin Huse, Stephen Huse, Hannah Huse, Johanna Huse and David Huse; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Charlotte Champlin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, with the Rev. Michael Cambi, celebrant. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.
