Alfred K. Signor


INVERNESS, Fla. - Alfred K. Signor, 90, of Inverness, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Arbor Trails Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.
Alfred was born Aug. 9, 1928, son of the late Kenneth and Grace (Dix) Signor, in Cannonsville.
Alfred served in the Army National Guard for seven years.
Alfred owned and operated Al's Body and Frame Shop in Oneonta, for almost 39 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, bowling and baseball; as well as being around his friends and family.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lahja (Lollie) K. Haikonen Signor; son, Eric R. Signor of Stamford; one granddaughter, Adrianne Signor Smith and her husband, Branden Smith of Arlington, Vermont; one grandson, Eric J. Signor of Oneonta; a great-grandson, Emery Smith of Arlington, Vermont; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his sister, Julia Signor; three stepsisters, Lillian Lesky, Alice Van Deusen and Mary Fagan; and stepbrother, Charles A. Eggleston.
Contributions made be made in memory of Alfred to one's local hospice organization.

Lolli...I just learned of Al’s passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences. We spent many very enjoyable years on the bowling alleys and golf course. A really great guy.
