FRANKLIN - Betty E. Snyder, 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at A.O. Fox Hospital, with her loving daughter, Janice and son-in-law, Joe, by her side.
Betty was born on Dec. 5, 1919, in Congers, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Mooseman) Southward.
She lived in Congers before moving to Franklin.
On Sept. 2, 1939, she married Arthur E. Snyder Jr., who predeceased her on Dec. 27, 2007, after 68 years of marriage.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Janice Pantale (Joseph) of Franklin and Elaine Rothen (Robert) of Ridge Manor, Florida; and son, Arthur Snyder III (Nancy) of Wesley Chapel, Florida. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Joseph Pantale Jr., Jodi Pantale-Sisson (Craig), Jeffrey Pantale (Ashley), Dennis Wakely Jr. (Meredith), Denette Williamson (Michael), Lori Barnard (Robert) and Arthur Snyder IV (Kelly). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a member of Eastern Star. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. Betty loved playing games and cards with her great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and whose lives she touched.
Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or one's favorite humane society.
Burial for both Betty and Arthur will take place at the convenience of the family. We all love you both and miss you so very much.
