Bonnie Leah Peletz

BAINBRIDGE - Bonnie Leah Peletz, 63, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at Post Acute Medical, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
She was born Feb. 24, 1956, in Sidney, daughter of the late Richard Elwin and Lena Belle (Yaeger) Horton.
Bonnie married Joseph C. Peletz on April 19, 1999, in Hamlin.
For several years, Bonnie was a receptionist for her son, Tim, at Price Automotive in Sidney.
Bonnie was a country girl. She loved all kinds of animals and enjoyed tending to her little farm, riding horses, listening to country music, hopping in the car and traveling the country roads and going nowhere.
She liked doing puzzles, playing Sudoku, chess and scrabble (which she would purposely lose at so people would play with her) and she enjoyed all holidays but Christmas was her favorite.
She was an excellent cook who could make something out of nothing.
Bonnie was selfless, empathetic and kind who would rather do for others than to have something done for her. She always found the good in people even when no one else could see it.
But the most important thing to Bonnie was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved each one and enjoyed every moment doting on them and spoiling them.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Joe Peletz, Bainbridge; six children, Jamie Lee Price and Eric Mertz, Bainbridge, Tim Price and Ashley Lyons, Bainbridge and Craig Peletz and Hannah Bradley, Afton; Joe Jr. and Sheryl Draper, Hamlin, Brian Peletz and Janice Lee, Ft. Worth, Texas, Kristin and Peter Schrage, Ontario; 11 grandchildren, Chasen, Layla, Brody, Callie, Cayden, Aaliyah, Collin, Jenna, Gabby, Amelia and Colin; two sisters, BJ Hovey, Wells Bridge and Sandy Zorda, Bainbridge; brother, Charlie Horton, Unadilla; her mother-in-law, Alberta Peletz, Bloomville; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Kathy Peletz, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania; her little dog, Sassy; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Cheryl Beach and Debbie Cutting.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, also at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Bloomville.
