Catherine's Story

COOPERSTOWN - Catherine Lee Virginia (DeMartino) Lepetich passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017.
Catherine was born in Jefferson on July 9, 1943.
To see the heart of Catherine, you would only need to see her with the one thing she held most dear, her family. With a heart of gold everyone she met would be part of that family. Her abundance of love could be felt be everyone who was so blessed to have known her. Her gracious spirit shined through even the darkest of times.
In 1963, she married James Andrew Lepetich. They resided in Portlandville until his passing in 1998.
They had three sons, Mark of Syracuse, Joseph of Cooperstown and Steven of Otego. From those three sons she was blessed with the biggest joys in her life, her grandchildren. Marco, son of Mark and wife, Veronica; children of Joseph and wife, Tulsa, Kohlee, Knox and Remini; daughters of Steven, raised in hand with his devoted partner, Corey Goodrich, Danielle, Isabella and Allison.
She is survived by her brother, Edward DeMartino of Cortland. She also leaves behind Jonathan Villaluz and his son, Cheyton, who she cherished as her own. The love and laughter they provide to her through the years has not gone without notice.
Arrangements are to be provided by Ottman Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 24, in the Milford Center Cemetery. All friends are asked to attend to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Catskill Area Hospice who provided her with loving attentive care in her last days.
On behalf of the family we thank all of her friends who have given their support, laughter and prayers throughout the years. The amount of people who have touched her life and who she has impacted are far too long to list.
