Claudia H.  LeoGrande


ONEONTA - Claudia H. LeoGrande, 68, of Oneonta, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born on May 24, 1951, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Gordon and Carole (Bougourd) Aldrich.
She married John A. LeoGrande on Jan. 4, 1975.
Claudia was a lifelong cat lover. She also collected Boyd and Barrington Bears and miniature oil lamps.
Claudia is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Jackie Whispell and son, Christopher LeoGrande. She is additionally survived by her grandchildren, Marysa LeoGrande, Synthia Knapp and Harry Whispell; sister, Carla Garvey; mother-in-law, Mary LeoGrande; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Pat) Welsh, Anne Speranzi and Diane (Frank) Russo; cousin, Charlotte (Skip) Brockway; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Jessie.
She was predeceased by her parents; and father-in-law, Anthony "Tony" LeoGrande.
Graveside committal services will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Messner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudia's memory are asked to be made to the Susquehanna SPCA, 4841 NY-28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.

Claudia was a very sweet and dear lady, she was one of my regular customers at Hannaford's, always had a smile on her face, she will be very much missed, my sympathies to her family

Claudia always had a smile and away to make everyone smile. She would always make sure she find me (at her doctors office) to say hello. She is going to be very well missed my heart. I am glad I got to know her.
