DECATUR - Elizabeth J. "Betty" Mravlja, 78, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Focus Otsego in Cooperstown.
Betty was born on June 10, 1939, in Richmond Hill, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Okorn) Medved.
She married George P. Mravlja Sr. on Aug. 12, 1967, at St. Joseph's Church in Worcester.
Betty worked at the family farm in Decatur, for the U.S. Census Bureau and American Red Cross bloodmobile.
She was a past member of the Worcester Emergency Squad and Worcester Fire Auxillary.
Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Mravlja; her daughter, Tina Schoeberl and her husband, Jeff of Decatur; her son, Peter Mravlja and his wife, Kris of Decatur; her daughter-in-law, Jodi Mravlja of Cherry Valley; her grandchildren, Christopher (Katrine), Sandra, Nathaniel, Schuyler, Angel, Jacob and Elyza; her great-grandson, Lane; a great-granddaughter due in March; her sister, Helen McNichol; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; son, George Mravlja; two brothers, Chuck and Ray Medved; and two sisters, Sylvia Medved and Mary Huebner.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Joseph's Church, 201 Main St. in Worcester with the Rev. Paul Mijas as celebrant.
A calling hour will be held before mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St. in Worcester.
