Elizabeth Susan "Sue"'s Story
DETROIT, Mich. - Elizabeth Susan "Sue" Ender passed away June 3, 2017.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 10, 1930, to Anthony Korves and Elizabeth (McGarvey). She grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Sue joins her beloved husband John in death, who she truly missed and loved dearly.
Sue and John married 65 years ago while he was in the Air Force. She was a loving mother to four children; a grandmother and great-grandmother. Together John and Sue resided in New Jersey until 1971. Later they moved to Schenevus, where, along with John, they owned and operated the Schenevus Food Market. After selling the market she worked as a receptionist. She retired and in 2001 they moved to Loveland, Colorado.
Sue's greatest love in life was her family. She loved to travel to the various states to visit and spend time with them. She enjoyed listening to and watching birds. She spent a lot of time planting and nourishing her flower beds and gardens. She had a strong Catholic faith.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Patricia and partner, Stephanie of Wayne, Maine; three sons, Michael and wife, Susan of Alameda, California; Mark and his wife, Lori of Loveland, Colorado; and Thom and his partner, Brian of Fremont, Nebraska; a sister, Gertrude; grandchildren, Megan and her husband, Chris, Thomas, Bryan and his wife, Molly and Sean; and her great-grandson, Orion. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Anthony, Jerry, Tom; and her grandson, John Michael.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish on Wednesday, June 7, followed by inurnment at the Columbarium at Loveland Burial Park.
