George H. Hotaling

Events

Saratoga Springs - George "Hank" H. Hotaling, 85, went to Heaven on April 14, 2019, to be reunited with his parents and several siblings.
He was born on June 15, 1938, in Little Falls, to George P. and Edith (Dewitt) Hotaling. He graduated from Voorheesville High School and Ithaca College.
Hank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He spent 31 years teaching and coaching at Jefferson Central School in Jefferson. His love of children and young adults could be seen in his interactions with his students; he was known as "Coach" to two generations. He taught physical education and health, and coached soccer, basketball and baseball.
Hank is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy (Adams); two sons, George (Karen) and Michael (AnneMarie) Hotaling; four grandchildren, Kristen (Ben) Schoen, Jared (Kate), George (Cody) and Eric (Brooke) Hotaling; four great-granddaughters, Elizabeth, Alexandria, Catherine Schoen and Adilynn Hotaling; sisters, Edith (Bruce) Zeh, Bonnie (Clarke) Mosier; sister-in-law, Patricia Hotaling; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is reunited in heaven with his brothers, William and James Hotaling; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel (Fred) Kurkowski; and niece, Paige Parker.
A celebration of life will be held later this spring in Hank's long-time hometown of Jefferson.
Donations can be made to a scholarship fund that will be set up in his name at Jefferson Central School to continue helping students.

Condolences to the family, Coach was an inspiration to so many over the years. I'm sure that anyone that was a student or ball player under him was left with a part of their life having been influenced by him.
God Bless you all.
