UNADILLA - Gerald Terry, 70, of Unadilla, a longtime farmer, logger and auctioneer, died March 6, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was the owner of J P Farms Auction Service in Unadilla.
Born Nov. 2, 1947, Jerry graduated from Franklin Central School with the Class of 1966.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Renwick Terry; children, Dawn (Dale) McCall, Brian (Penny) Terry, Bruce (Stacey) Terry and Shannon (Tom) Cobane; grandchildren, Ashley, Shelby, Shawn, Rachel, Emily and Jacob; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Phoenix; three brothers, Dave, Matt (Karen) and Herm (Michelle) Terry; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pete and Fran Terry; brothers, Lynn, Pat and Skip Terry; and his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Norma Renwick.
The family extends special appreciation to our "girls" at the Sidney Cancer Unit and Dr. Danielle Knight.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 12, at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main St., Franklin. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Fournier officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Ouleout Valley Cemetery.
