RICHFIELD SPRINGS - James D. Domion, 70, of Richfield Springs died on Sept. 11, 2017, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.
Jim was born in Cooperstown on May 4, 1947, to Philip and Janice Domion.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated in 1965 from RSCS. Jim enjoyed multiple careers including farming, tractor trailer owner/operator, construction, log truck driver and farm equipment sales and service. Jim possessed great knowledge and ability to build or fix almost anything.
He had many hobbies and interests over the years including archery, motorcycling, reloading and knife collecting. He also enjoyed "BS'ing" with his friends, snoozing with his dogs and a walk in the woods.
Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kristin (Petersen); children, Jamie (Tom) Bluntzer of Lacey Washington, Joelle (Tom Sarafin) of North Pitcher and Clayton of Richfield Springs; grandchildren, Kyra Widrig, Chris and Laurelae Bluntzer; sisters, Connie (Ray) Nassar and Joan Lahr; and sister-in-law, Jean Domion. Jim had many more family members, friends and furry creatures who he loved very much.
Jim was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Eddie, Monte and Sonny Domion and Lonnie McIntosh; and sister, Barbara Huyck.
The family invites family and friends whose lives were touched by Jim to join them in celebrating his life from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Veterans Club, Lake Street, Richfield Springs.
