SHARON SPRINGS - (Katherine) Jeannine B. Wolfe, 89, formerly of Sharon Springs, died on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, following a brief illness.
Jeannine was born on Oct. 25, 1929, in Norwich, the daughter of the late Keith L. and Jeannette Burch.
She graduated from Mount Upton Central School in 1947.
Following school she married the Rev. John B. Wolfe on Jan. 22, 1948, in Mount Upton. He predeceased her on Nov. 7, 2002, after 54 years of marriage.
Being the wife of a Methodist Minister, she moved their family to several locations including New Berlin, Hartwick, Fairhaven, Vermont, North Creek, and finally to Sharon Springs. After his retirement they moved to their home in Mount Upton for several years before moving back to Sharon Springs in 1997. Jeannine had resided at the Pavilion at Robinson Terrace in Stamford since January 2018.
Jeannine was a homemaker and worked part-time as an aide at the Maples in Sharon Springs.
She was a member of the Sharon Springs United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 1269, both in Sharon Springs.
Survivors include three sons, Keith David (Cynthia) Wolfe of Lawyersville, Ronald (Katherine) Wolfe of Sharon Springs and John C. (Nancy Ann) Wolfe of Schoharie; a daughter, Pauline "Polly" (Joseph) Francescone; brother, Keith (Beulah) Burch of Norwich; six grandchildren, Bruce (Jennifer) Wolfe, Jeannette (Steven) Storey, Amy (Daniel) Wilkinson, Timothy Koval, John Paul (Sara) Wolfe and Alan (Nicole Hart) Wolfe; step-grandchil- dren, Kurt Francescone and Travis (Tina) Francescone; six great-grand- children; and five step-great-grand- children.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tammy Wolfe, in 1988.
Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 11, before services at 11 a.m. at Ottman Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Cherry Valley. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Upton.
