John J. "JJ"'s Story
PECKVILLE, Pa. - John J. "JJ" Fusco of Peckville, Pennsylvania, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at home, following a brief illness.
His wife of 48 years is the former Elizabeth Walsh.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Eva Rogers Fusco.
Educated in Paterson schools, prior to his retirement he was employed as a roofer and was a member of the United Union of Roofers Local No. 203 in Binghamton. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge in New York.
Also surviving are his son, John Fusco and wife, Cathy, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Patricia Kearney, Peckville, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Fusco; and brother-in-law, Joseph Kearney.
A Blessing Service will be conducted at 6 p.m., Thursday at Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton. Friends may call Thursday from 4 p.m. until service time.
Interment in Cathedral Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
