Karen Lee Redmond

GUILFORD - Karen Lee Redmond, 61, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, with loved ones by her side, following a long fought battle with metastatic cancer.
Karen was born on Nov. 28, 1957, in Brooklyn, to Joseph V. Redmond and the late Lee Wyman.
She is predeceased by her first son, Matthew.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristi and sons, Brian and wife, Stefanie and Michael and wife, Jolene; and the true loves of her life, her seven grandchildren, Caden, Caylee, Bentley, Barrett, Emerson, Beckett and Matthew; as well as her brothers, Joe and wife, Annie and Chris and wife, Cindy; sister, Susan; and numerous nieces and nephews who she adored.
Karen went through life showering love and devotion upon her family, friends and those in need. Her unbridled compassion for all who surrounded her was only rivaled by her love for her grandchildren. She found her true happiness when extending her loving arms around them and hearing their infectious laughter.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, in Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the VFW in Morris.
The family requests that, in lieu of sending flowers, any donations be made in support of cancer research or to your local ASPCA chapter.
Karen's family has entrusted her care to the Johnston Funeral Home in Morris.
