Dearest Leo..with such sadness...On my Mom's birthday 7/17..go figure. I hope she (and my Dad) greeted you with open arms. Can't believe its been 15 years since we last saw each other for lunch catching up on all the fun and laughs and memories we once had. .....My thoughts of you always put a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart. I will always remember you as this handsome, kind, humble, generous, loving, larger than life man that lit up a room. I never have or will forget you Leo!! God Bless you..Rest in Peace..til we meet again!

Leo,
I thank you for your friendship with my Uncle Bob Sharp. I thank you for your immense generosity towards my mother Helen. You shared your wealth of love with her and I shall never forget you. May the angels carry you to heaven. To my cousin Monica, and her daughters Alexis and Arianna, you are truly loved. God Bless and keep you all.

natures first green is gold
her hardest hue to hold
her early leafs a flower
but only for an hour
then leaf subsides to leaf
so Eden sank to grief
so dawn goes down to day
nothing gold can stay

I first had the occasion to meet Leo at Chief Schenevus when he bought our breakfast and had no idea who we were his granddaughter was with him and was playing. When we got ready to leave I went to pay for breakfast and the waitress told me that Leo had bought our breakfast. And then we had an occasion to follow Davenport basketball to state championship and Leo bought all of the fans from Davenport pizza at Cobleskill. Certainly he will be remembered as a very generous person Peace to your family

Denny really enjoyed working on the electrical component of Leo's log cabin in Davenport. There were a lot of laughs and group lunches which made the job go faster. We also enjoyed many of his 4th of July parties complete with fireworks. Great memories! Leo had a good heart and was very generous with everyone! He will be missed.

Dear Leo,
I will miss you terribly, your hugs, and gentlemanly ways, but mostly your excessive love to all, your deep generosity, your laughter and enjoyment of all people. I do not believe I will ever know another human with all your qualities.
With that, myself just being a "semi family member", who has only known you for such a short time, I offer my love and condolences to your family, as they must feel right now the deepest loss. Maybe now isn't the time to remind you that he is in better hands, happier still, and with more love than he could give while on earth. But you will continue to hear his laughter at times, where you will wonder if it is your imagination, or maybe a han
...d on your shoulder, or smell his own aftershave around you. You know your Leo never left his loved ones and dear friends ever be alone, without at least a stop by to inquire as to their life, health, and well being. Believe in that, and let it comfort you in the days and time ahead.
Lastly, another word to Leo. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your precious love towards my grandchildren. Your concern, your love, your laughter, your indulgence, and most of all, your excessive patience in raising them... Maybe this was something you now had time to enjoy. But from this grandmother, to see this was beautiful.
With love to your family,
Dawn Anderson

Leo-We have a lot of great memories, my good friend. We've gone to horse shows, dinners, and trips and we had many laughs at the house. I will never forget how you liked the Chivas Regal 25 year old scotch we shared for your birthday a few years ago. You liked it so much you bought a case! When I completed building my Arena you surprised me with a beautiful full size brass horse that I will forever cherish. You were a true friend who will always be in our hearts.
You will be missed-remember who loves ya!
To Leo's family-My sincere condolences.
