Lloyd S.'s Story
DELANSON - Lloyd S. Terrell, born Nov. 4, 1939, son of Sophie Koker and Leroy Orville Terrell, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, in his residence.
Lloyd graduated Richmondville High School in 1957 and was very determined to work for General Electric. He started out in designing at All State Designs and achieved his goal of working for General Electric in 1964. He was a devoted employee until he retired as a senior designer in 2000. He then became a member and participated in the General Electric Quarter Century Club.
Lloyd loved sports and was very athletic. He continued playing volleyball and basketball after his retirement. He also enjoyed spending time in the woods, chopping wood and repairing items.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Delanson and attended faithfully.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Terrell; five children, Alan Terrell, Sherry Terrell (Michael) Kent, Kenneth Terrell, Shannon (Leanne) Terrell, Mary Kay Terrell (Sidney) Parnell; five grandchildren, Lucas, Ashley, David, Jason, Allie Grace; brother, Christopher Terrell; and sister, Agnes Terrell.
He is predeceased by two sisters, Ann Melvin and Helen Rudd.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1735 Alexander Road, Delanson.
Burial will be held in Grove Cemetery in the spring.
