ONEONTA - Margaret "Peggy" L. Umbach, 72, passed peacefully Feb. 28, 2018, at Albany Medical Center.
She was born April 16, 1945, in Oneonta, to Quentin and Mary Holmes, and raised by Burton and Winifred Miller.
Peggy married Victor H. Umbach on Oct. 9, 1965, at the West End Community Baptist Church, Oneonta.
She worked as a Tupperware consultant for 10 years and enjoyed working as a telemarketer for several area companies.
Peggy loved being with her family, fishing and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Victor H. Umbach; children, Karen Lewis, Jeffrey (Tammie) Umbach, Kevin Umbach and Heather Umbach; grandchildren, Jenella (John) Mulhall, Michaela Lewis and Jeff Lowe, Brandi Force, Tyler (Caitlyn) Force, Courtney Force; great-grandchildren, Tori and Amelia; siblings, Mary Samphier, Sara Holmes, Yvonne Mattice, Anna Shano, Carl (Rosann) Miller, Betty (Danny) Bohmer; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Jonathon Scott Umbach; and siblings, Cecelia Holmes, Quentin Homes and George "Butch" Miller.
Calling hours will be 4 to 5 p.m. with the funeral at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, at Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
Interment in the Schenevus Cemetery will be 1 p.m., Friday, May 4.
