UNADILLA - Nina Carey was called home to be with her Lord on July 23, 2019, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Nina was born on July 31, 1930, in Arabia in the Town of Franklin; daughter of Claude and Hazel (Signor) Cole.
She grew up in Treadwell and graduated from A.L. Kellogg School.
She was predeceased by her husband, James; parents; four brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her children, Diane Jester, Jim (Cindy), Bill (Jackie), Pat (Glenna); sister-in-law, Marjorie Cole; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Nina retired in 1992 after 41 years at Amphenol in Sidney.
Nina had a passion for reading. She volunteered for several years at Unadilla Elementary School in the library and helped with the reading program. Her world revolved around her family. She attended whenever possible sporting events, tractor pulls, concerts, plays and other events family members took part in. She was known by many as the "bleacher grandma" and loved by all who knew her. She was also an avid Yankees fan.
Friends are invited to greet the family from 10 a.m. to noon after which a memorial service will take place at noon, Aug. 3, at Treadwell United Methodist Church on Church Street in Treadwell. A luncheon will follow.

So sorry we were unable to make the Funeral. We were always touched by Nina's love and personal way of touching our hearts in her very own way everytime we saw her. We pray that God will Bless you as her children and your families with the memories she built throughout the years. In His Love, Roger and Rhonda Carey
