TODDSVILLE - Robert A. Daniels, 67, died peacefully at his Toddsville home on Sunday June 18, 2017.
Born Jan. 17, 1950, in Norwich, Bob was the son of Robert and Henrietta (Broadbrook) Daniels.
Bob was known for his incredible and unending work ethic. It is believed that he literally worked every day of his adult life. He was a great mechanic who could improvise his way around the toughest problems.
He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and would often build or fix things for friends or others who were in need simply for the challenge and joy of doing it. Indeed, for more than 26 years he never once failed, when asked, to appear and help his friend, Steve Eldred in Steve's painting business.
Bob's favorite pastime was watching NASCAR. He rarely missed a race - although he would interrupt even that pastime if a friend called for help. He also drove stock and modified race cars as well as crewed for other drivers in the local area for many years. Go "40X."
Among his survivors are his children, Brian, Bobby, Rebecca and Ashley Daniels and David Anderson.
A private celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
Donations in Bob's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown.
