NEW BERLIN - Robert W. Fagan, 69, of New Berlin, passed away on June 20, 2017, at his home on the farm in New Berlin.
Bob was born on July 29, 1947, in Newburgh, the son of Erwin and Ester (Salma) Fagan.
His childhood was spent in the Walden area where he was a graduate of Valley Central High School.
He was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 of New Jersey for more than 30 years and worked as a dairy farmer for 36 years.
On Dec. 18, 1988, he married Beverly Holbert, who survives him.
Bob loved farming, attending auctions at Hosking's Auction Barn, going to the Turning Stone, John Deere green and acting as the "Mayor of Stewart's" and was also known to all as "Bob and his red truck."
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by three daughters, Stacey Stap (Robert) of Pine Bush, Wendy Calyer of Montgomery and Katelynn Fagan and her fiancé, Randy Olsen of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Ashley (Brad) Meres, Hunter Calyer and Elizabeth, Cassandra, Rebecca and Garrett Stap; as well as three great-grandchildren, Emerson, Easton and Kahlianne. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Sharon Fagan; nieces, Ashley Fagan and Kathleen (Kevin) Varley; step-nephews, Nick and Dan Crinieri; and many Holbert family brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 23, at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 24, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, New Berlin, with the Rev. David Hanselman officiating.
Interment will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, New Berlin.
