RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Robert H. Klein, 88, of Richfield Springs, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Rosedale, the son of the late Joseph H. and Marie Essig Klein.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother; sister; and grandson.
Originally from Long Island, Bob was a graduate of Newtown High School and agricultural school.
He was an experienced Mason and home builder.
In 1967, he moved to Burlington Flats where he established the dairy farm that he operated through 1980. Eventually, Bob retired at age 80 from selling and servicing mobile homes.
He was a proud United States Army veteran serving from 1951 to 1953.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lily Burnett Klein; children, Linda, Ed, and Bob; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Madelyn Cook; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, with military honors, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the First Baptist Church of Burlington with Pastor Barry Davis officiating. Private interment will be in the Butternut Valley Brick Schoolhouse Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
