ONEONTA - Ruth Thelma Schulz, 83, of Oneonta and North Franklin, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.
She was born on June 18, 1933, in Meridale, the daughter of Perry and Thelma (Finch) White.
She married LeRoy "Dutchie" Schulz on Jan. 12, 1953. He preceded her in death.
A homemaker, Ruth was a member of the North Franklin Women's Club and the Aldrich Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Charlene O'Mara of New Bern, North Carolina, Robin and Mark Walley of Milford, Lisa Schulz of Binghamton, and Linda Schulz and her husband, Robert Smith of Smithfield, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by two sisters, Sandra and Dorothy; and one brother, Ellis.
Friends are invited to greet the family from, 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St, Oneonta.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 1, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephen Fournier officiating.
Burial will follow in Davenport Cemetery, Davenport.
