COOPERSTOWN - Sally L. Duncan, 71, joined her Father in heaven on March 7, 2018, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Rockrift, on March 20, 1946, Sally was the daughter of Leon and Rebecca (Schlaffer) Simpson.
She was a highly regarded and self-employed home health aide for many years during which she served many local families.
Sally is survived by her husband, Howard Duncan; and her five children and three stepchildren, Coleen Archer (Martin Carroll) of Walton, Peggy Davis of Cooperstown, Brenda Carroll of Cooperstown, William (and Roberta) Burr of Bridgewater, and Tammy (and Anthony) Lent of Tennessee. She is also survived by her sisters, Sherrie (and Everette) Dean of Walton and Linda Beers of North Carolina.
Sally had 10 grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. They are Crystal Scofield, Edward Chase, Matthew Chase, Justin Davies, Jessica Burr, Amber Cordner, Robert Carroll Jr., Dustin Duncan, Anthony Lent and Alex Lent. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday March 18, at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home, 28 Pioneer St., Cooperstown. At her request there will be no funeral service.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown.
