Zane Anthony's Story
ONEONTA - Zane Anthony Raudibaugh, 70, formerly of Oneonta, died Sept. 15, 2017, at Seattle Washington University Hospital.
He was born on March 18, 1947, to Zane and Marguerite (Caracciolo) Raudibaugh in Sidney.
Zane was very active in Boy Scout Troop 24 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
A member of the Oneonta High School Class of 1965, after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy Seabee Division, serving two tours in Vietnam.
After his honorable discharge he became a long-distance truck driver, a job he held and loved for more than 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zane and Marguerite Raudibaugh; and brother-in-law, Charles Maben.
Surviors include his wife, Jennifer of Tacoma Washington; sisters, Marietta Maben, Debra (Louie) Barnes; and brother, Brian (Deborah) Raudibaugh.
A celebration of Zane's life will begin at 2:30 p.m., Oct. 15, at the Oneonta American Legion with a memorial service at 3 p.m.
