DAVENPORT - Alan "Albie" Brian Smith Sr. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a true lover of animals, music and guitars. Alan was a former employee of Jamesway and one of the best representatives at H and R Block in Oneonta New York.
Alan is survived by his wife, Sharolynn Guile; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Smith and husband, Howard; sister-in-law, Sarita and son Jose; son Alan Jr. and wife Sabrina; daughter, Samantha Romanelli and husband Thomas, with children Gennaro, Gianna, Vivian and Lorelai; sons, Perry, wife, Brittany and son, Lincoln; Russell and Steve Clement with son Donovan; Gordon Aldrich 3rd; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that he loved so dearly.
Alan was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy Smith and Sherman Smith Sr., and brother, Sherman Smith Jr.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta.
