DELHI - Alfred Covert Hamilton Jr., born April 24, 1927, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.

His best friend and loving wife, Wanda Wolfe Hamilton; as well as his 30 children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, survive him.

Al Hamilton grew up in Upstate New York and was a World War II veteran. After serving his country he went on to get his degree at Cornell University majoring in Dairy Science. He put his degree to work and spent more than 40 years in the dairy business with his last career stop at Southern Dairies in Somerset, Kentucky, a town he ultimately called home.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in Woodland Cemetery, Meredith Street, Delhi.
