NORTH SYRACUSE - Barbara Jean (Jones) Howard, 83, formerly of Mount Vision and most recently of North Syracuse, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2019.
She was the daughter of Pastor G. Louis and Luella Jones.
Barbara's father founded Bible Baptist Church in Mount Vision, where Barbara attended until moving to North Syracuse in 2001 to care for her grandchildren. Most recently, she and her husband attended Beacon Baptist Church in Clay.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul; three children, Randall (Lora) Howard, Russell Howard and Paula (Mark) Howard Shortsleeve; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Barbara was predeceased by her son, Russell's wife, Sheryl.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 p.m., Thursday, June 27, at Beacon Baptist Church in Clay, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in Vestal Hills Memorial Park the following day at 1 p.m.
