Oneonta, NY - ONEONTA - Betty Ann Fraley, 86, passed away on March 17, 2025 at Sunnyside Care Center, East Syracuse.
She was born Oct. 8, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Vern Baker and Ruby Hansel.
She married James Fraley, Sr., who predeceased her.
Betty was a teacher at SUNY Oneonta as a costume designer and make-up artist. She was a well-known artist and was active in many different artist communities.
She was a loving mother to her sons, James Fraley Jr. and Todd Fraley; adored her grandchildren, Aaron, Melody and Michael and 5 great-grandchildren; will be dearly missed by her sister, Sandy (Denny) Barron, nieces and nephews, and their families.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday May 6, at Lewis, Hurley and Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
