Oneonta, NY - ONEONTA - Betty Wyckoff Teed, of Oneonta, New York, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 27, 2026. She was born on Jan. 28, 1939 in Hobart, to Wesley Wyckoff and Ruth DeLong.

Betty often said that she "grew up here, there, and everywhere," as a reflection of the many places she called home throughout her childhood. She graduated from Gilbertsville Central School in 1957. She married Robert Teed, with whom she shared three children; Timothy (Cecilia) Teed of Wilmington, Delaware, Rebecca (David) Sickles of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Julia (Thomas) Bjorvand of Morris. Betty was a proud grandmother to Jonathan Teed, Brian (Gabby) Teed, Amanda (Aaron) King, Robert Sickles, Jeffrey Bjorvand, and Connor Bjorvand, and was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Gabriella Grace King, Aviya King, and George Teed.

In 1984, Betty married the love of her later years, Nelson Teed. She lovingly embraced Nelson's family as her own and cherished his daughters, Rosemarie (Jeffrey) Casale and Priscilla (John) Thompson. Together they welcomed grandchildren, Natalie Casale, Sara Casale, Ian Thompson, Shane Thompson, and Brynn Thompson.

Betty will be fondly remembered for her warm hospitality and generous spirit. Many looked forward to her apple pies and macaroni salad, and she took great pride in helping prepare food for the annual open house for Musson, Faber & Teed. Betty was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and active in the Episcopal Church Women. Bazaars and luncheons were something that she looked forward to every year. Betty also spent many years as a school bus driver for the Gilbertsville and Morris school districts until she fully retired in 2014. Betty treasured the relationships she built with the children she transported each day and often spoke with affection about the many friendships she formed with the bus aides who worked alongside her.

Family and friends were at the center of Betty's life. She loved gathering for holidays, visiting with friends, reminiscing about treasured memories, and sharing stories of the travels she enjoyed with Nelson. Betty also enjoyed listening to classic country music and especially Irish folksinger, Daniel O'Donnell. Her kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 17 at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at Christ Episcopal Church in Gilbertsville, followed by a luncheon provided by the ECW.

Betty is survived by children, grandchildren, and brothers, Charles Wyckoff and William (Kim) DeMun. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Wayne Wyckoff; and beloved sister-in-law, Arlene Wyckoff.
