Schenevus, NY - SCHENEVUS - Brian T. Ritton, 52, passed away Jan. 11, 2026 at his home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1973 in Cooperstown, the son of Ralph J. and Teresa A. (Gillette) Ritton.

Brian graduated from Schenevus Central School. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force serving for six years.

He worked at Mallinckrodt and currently was a director of maintenance at Arc Otsego.

He was talented at powder coating and sandblasting. He enjoyed rebuilding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. He loved being at the tracks, racing or watching others race and being a part of the racing family. He was generous, friendly and well-liked by many.

He is survived by his wife, Christina (Smith); children, Jasmine, Alex, Aubrie, and Landon (his mother Elizabeth); grandsons, Carter and Oakley; his father, Ralph; siblings, Kevin and Debbie, Jason and Shana, and Kimberlee and Cade; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Erika, Connor, Cadence, Annabelle, Julian, Alexis, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Teresa and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Westford Community (Methodist) Church, County Highway 34, Westford, followed by a reception and a time for visitation at the Schenevus Valley Masonic Lodge, 82 Main St., Schenevus.

Burial at the Westford Cemetery will be held at a later date.
