Oneonta, New York - ONEONTA - Carl M. Iannotti, 74, passed away peacefully on Nov. 6, 2022, at Chestnut Park Rehab and Nursing Home in Oneonta.

Carl was born on Oct. 6, 1948, in Amsterdam, the son of Carl and Emily Iannotti.

After earning his associate degree from Delhi Tech in animal science and then his BA in English from SUNY Oneonta, Carl settled in Oneonta.

Carl enjoyed his career as sales associate in optical sales, working for Silver Dollar Optical in Oneonta where, after 32 years of service, Carl retired in 2015.

Carl was known for his passion for the arts, specifically film and photography. He also loved nature and music, especially the Beatles.

Carl is survived by his loving mother, Emily Iannotti; dear cousins Lorie and Cindy Taylor and Lynn Naparty; his much-loved goddaughter, Gwenevere Hollister; cousins, Ann Marie (Larry) Rose and Robert (Diane) Carson; relatives and many friends, too numerous to count.

Carl is preceded in death by his father, Carl Iannotti and sister, Agnes M. Donnelly.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Kateri Meadow Natural Burial Preserve in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
