FRANKLIN - Carolyn J. Thies of Franklin, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Nov. 28, 2022.

She was born April 28, 1947, to the late Harry and Helen Greiner. She joins her husband of 55 years, Leslie G. Thies, in Heaven.

She leaves behind a brother, Harry "JR" and Debbie Greiner; sons, Mark A. Thies (Janet Long), Matthew A. Thies (Crystal Shaffer), and Mikal A. and Caitlyn Thies; grandchildren, Turner Thies (Terry), Nicholas Thies (Chelsea), Allison Thies (Nathan), Adam Thies (Courtney), Trenton Thies, Troyer Thies, Aneita Jane Thies, Michael Wright (Colleen), Severia Arend (Derek), Aaron Bunt, Ayrica and AJ Zimmer; great-grandchild, Leo Thies, and unborn great-grandchild, Waylen Merwin; along with many family members and friends.

Carolyn graduated from Franklin Central School in 1965.

She married Les on April 9, 1966.

She was an amazing person who loved her family and friends more than anything. She made a lasting impact on those around her and was a very fun person to be around. She loved getting together with Shirley, Donna, and Judy for a girls day.

She loved hummingbirds and had a vast collection of them around the house. She was also a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, listening to Elvis and Johnny Mathis, and having family and friends by her side.

Carolyn will be greatly missed and always loved.

Friends are invited to greet the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Kenneth L Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main St., Franklin, where a memorial service will take place at 1 p.m.
