Morris - MORRIS — Carrie Lynn Phillips, 69, of Morris passed away at her home on Monday, March 25, 2024. Carrie Lynn was born on Jan. 25, 1955, in Oneonta, the daughter of the late Zina Jr. and Lois (Yates) Burdick. In 1974, Carrie Lynn married the love of her life, Harold Phillips.

Carrie Lynn was a very talented and creative woman. She proudly owned and operated Phillips Village Diner and The Gifted Line, both in Morris. She worked many years at Morris Central School while her girls attended. Carrie Lynn was a member of the Morris Rotary, Morris Fire Department Auxiliary and served on the Morris Emergency Squad. Carrie Lynn always put her family first. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her servants heart and her abundance of love to give.

Carrie Lynn is survived by her loving husband Harold; three daughters, Shara (Sean) Balantic, Danielle (Mark Davis) Tyler, Joanne (James) Tuttle; brother, Buddy (Theresa) Burdick; sister, Joanne Burdick; grandchildren, Gabriel and Rowan Balantic, Montana and Landen Tyler, Weston Davis, James, Carter and Casey Tuttle; great-grandchild, James Tuttle Jr.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her sister Christina Schermerhorn.

Family and friends are invited to visitation hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris with Lay Minister Penny Harrington officiating.
