SCHENECTADY - Charles W. Elflein III of Schenectady, formerly of Roxbury, passed away peacefully on Sept. 12, 2022, following a brief illness.
Charlie graduated from Roxbury Central School in 1975 and from Niagara University with a degree in transportation, travel and tourism in 1979. Charlie then began his 42-year career in travel and tourism with Wade Tours of Schenectady. Charlie remained at Wade Tours for his entire career. Charlie particularly liked traveling to Europe.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Charles Elflein II and Ruth (Elflein) Baker.
Charlie is survived by his sister, Ruth Ann Perazone of Roxbury, and stepsister, Lola Baker of South Carolina. Charlie is also survived by five nieces and nephews and five grandnieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. until noon, July 22, at Gould Church, Main Street, Roxbury.
