Clara Northcraft Obituary
HOBART - Clara Krivonyak Northcraft, 89, of Hobart and Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on April 1, 2020, at Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta.
Born on Jan. 28, 1931, in Ohio, Clara was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Petreczky) Krivonyak.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford.
Mrs. Northcraft graduated from Keuka College in 1953 with a BA degree in English. She retired from teaching in 1970 in Randolph. She became librarian at Olive Price Library in Hobart and served for 22 years until her retirement in 2003.
A devoted member of the community, Clara served as secretary and on the board of directors of the Delaware County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a board member of Project Independence. Clara volunteered at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills and at Core Values in Stamford for more than 10 years. She was also a member of TOPS and the Hobart Fire Department Auxiliary.
Mrs. Northcraft is survived by her husband of more than 58 years, Richard Northcraft; two daughters, Susan Northcraft of Oneonta and Ann (Kenny) Webb of Rochester; grandchildren, Matthew Stearns of Oneonta, Molly and Maci Germain of Oneonta; Justin, Ryan and Aidan Webb, all of Rochester; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private visitation and private Mass were held at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford. Private burial was held in St. Patrick Cemetery, Randolph.
A celebration of Clara's life will be held at a later date.
