Endicott, NY - Constance "Connie" Munford, born March 21, 1941, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, devotion, and quiet strength.

Raised in Cooperstown, Connie grew up on the Iroquois sheep farm, a place that shaped her lifelong love of animals and her deep appreciation for the rhythms of rural life. As a young girl, she proudly exhibited sheep at the Farmer's Museum Junior Show, the Otsego County Fair, and the New York State Fair — early experiences that reflected both her work ethic and her gentle spirit.

Connie graduated from Cooperstown Central School in 1959 and went on to build a meaningful career working at several universities, including Cornell University and the University of New Mexico. Her dedication, reliability, and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike.

She was the daughter of Emily (Edwards) Munford and Ernest Munford, and one of four siblings. She is predeceased by her brother Ernest Munford and her sister Mona O'Brien, and is survived by her brother Monte Munford. Connie was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of whom she cherished deeply.

For the past fourteen years, Connie shared her life with her devoted partner, Richard Kubis. Though their partnership blossomed later in life, their connection stretched all the way back to the first grade, a testament to the enduring bonds that shaped her life. Connie is also lovingly remembered by Richard's daughter, Laurie (Kubis) Orr, and her husband, Bryan Orr, along with their sons, Declan and Connor, as well as Richard's son, Jon Kubis, and his partner, Alicia Ford. Connie cherished each of them deeply and embraced them wholeheartedly as part of her family.

Connie's love for animals was boundless, and her compassion extended to every creature she encountered. She was also a woman of steadfast faith, carrying her beliefs with humility and grace.

Those who knew Connie will remember her gentle humor, her unwavering loyalty, and the quiet joy she found in simple, meaningful moments. Her presence enriched the lives of all who loved her, and her memory will continue to do so.
