Schenectady, NY - SCHENECTADY - Daniel R. Bibeau age, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Oneonta, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lise (Gauthier) Bibeau.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Nicolle Bibeau; and nephew Shayne (Tara) Ferris, as well as many family members and close friends.

Daniel was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Bibeau; and their son Daniel Robert Bibeau in 1994.

Daniel graduated from Oneonta High School in 1962 and shortly thereafter moved to the Schenectady area where he graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1970. He worked as a mechanic for more than 50 years.

In 1964 he married the love of his life, Nancy. They enjoyed family trips to Oneonta, Canada and camping around the northeast with their children. Daniel was a Boy Scout leader for many years and was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Schenectady, where he was a trustee and member of the operations board, taking care of the grounds and buildings.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8 at Demarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Schenectady. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at First Presbyterian Church, 209 Union Street, Schenectady.
