Bridgeport - BRIDGEPORT - Dean Hyatt passed away quietly at home on Dec. 4, 2023, after a long illness. He was 87.
Dean was the son of Paul and Mildred Hyatt. He attended Otego High School and Hartwick College.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Wendy (Robert) and Brenda; son, Craig (Jane); brother, Gordon (Norma); brother-in-law, Harvey (Mary); grandchildren, Chris (Haley), Erin, Kyle and Cameron; and six great-grandchildren.
Dean was a proud retired Teamster, an avid golfer and sports fan, a good neighbor, and a great friend. He loved living on Oneida Lake and was a longtime member of the Oneida Lake Association. He loved telling and hearing a good story. He will be fondly remembered by all for his warm smile, bright blue eyes, and love of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held from noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Route 31, Bridgeport.
Interment will be in the spring.
