UNADILLA - Derry G. Sramek, 65, of Unadilla, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Mercy House in Endicott.

He was born on April 10, 1958, to Michael and Carole (Jewell) Sramek in Cold Spring.

He married Sandra Jennings on May 14, 1983, in Unadilla.

He was a retired proud machinist from Amphenol Corp. in Sidney after 30 years.

He was a member of the Unadilla Fire Department and member and trustee at First United Methodist Church of Unadilla. He was also a member of the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Sramek; three children, Dustin and Bernadette Sramek, Elmira, Bradley and Morgan Sramek, Hubbardsville, Tamara Sramek and Brandon Walters, Unadilla; four grandchildren, Sophie, Declan, Kieran and Elena; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Stephen and Mei Vitek, Sidney, Michael Sramek, Sebring, Florida, and William Sramek, Oneonta; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Larry Phoenix, Trout Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Unadilla at 11 a.m., Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Winkleman will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla, at a later date.

The family will receive friends at Westcott-Madden Funeral Home, 123 Main St., Unadilla from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday.
