Davenport, NY - DAVENPORT - Diane Doris Alcott passed away peacefully at home Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at the age of 82.
She was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Walton, the daughter of Clifford and Genevieve (Seymour) Finch. She married Wayne Alcott April 12, 1975. He predeceased her in February 2005.
She is survived by her children, Kirk and Dawn Finch of East Meredith, Kim Aldrich of Crestview, Florida; Gordon (Butch) Aldrich of Crestview, Florida, Rodney Harris of East Meredith, Roger Harris of DeLancey, and Rose Doroski of Davenport Center; grandchildren, Javin Guile (Jessica) of Crestview Florida, Jamey Musser (Scott) of Crestview, Florida, Melissa McAdams (Dusty) of Davenport, Brendan Chase of Oneonta, Brittany DeFruscio (Adam) of Niskayuna, Tyler Harris of Hamden, Matthew Harris of East Meredith, Regina Roe of Oneonta, Angelica Helm of Walton, and Gordon Aldrich III of Unadilla; brother, Daniel Finch of Winter Springs, Florida; great-grandchildren, Alyson and JJ Guile of Crestview, Florida, Logan Myers of Crestview, Florida, Jasen Harris of Hamden, Journee Nyx of Oneonta, Jacob Blackburn of Davenport Center, Maci and Paxton DeFruscio, Kailey Wiedemann, and Cooper McAdams; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special niece, Victoria Finch Hudson of Davenport; special great niece, Jennifer Bartlett Cross.
She is also survived by brother- and sister-in-law, Jim and Gail Alcott of North Point, Florida and Oneonta; many life-long friends, MaryAnn Helmer of Davenport Center, Evelyn Fisher of Oneonta, and Sam Sweet of Denton, North Carolina.
She was predeceased by grandchildren, Larry VanKeuren, and Necole and Sabrina Aldrich of Davenport Center; brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Margaret Finch, and a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jr Gransbury.
Special thanks to nurses at AO Fox Hospital, Van, Brianna, Ashley and Chime; and Cathy Mould of West Davenport.
Burial will take place in Davenport Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
