UNADILLA - On New Year's Eve, Don left his home on earth and his loving family to start the new year with his eternal family.

Don was born to Charles and Edna (Todd) Dart on Aug. 29, 1945.

On Sept. 16, 1967, Don married his soulmate, Delores Oles.

An Army veteran, Don served three years in Vietnam.

He was a lifetime member of the Unadilla Fire Department and Emergency Squad as well as the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club.

Don is survived by his wife, Dee, who he cherished to no end; his two beloved daughters, Jessica (Ivan) Carson and Carrie (David) Hall; granddaughter, Ashley (Jason), great-grandchildren, Pippa, Willow and Wyatt; granddaughter, Serena (Bo) and great-grandchildren, Miya, Ashton, and Harper. Also surviving are his sister, Roberta (Bobbi) VanDeusen; sister-in-law, Joni Miles; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, who are family, John and Jeannette Higley, Alex, Rebecca Gloeckler and children, Trenton and Katelyn.

Don was predeceased by his parents; parents-in-law; four sisters, Ginny, Dodie, Peg and Pat; brother, Dick; five brothers-in-aw, Bucky, Hank, Cliff, Stewart and Tommy; and his son-in-law, Scott Combs.

Keeping with Don's wishes, there will be no services.

A gathering will be held at a later date.
