MORRIS - Donna J. Drake, 75, of Morris, passed away peacefully with her family beside her in the comfort of her own home Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.

Donna was born on July 28, 1949 in Oneonta; a daughter of the late LeRoy and Ruth (Southern) Sherwood. On Feb. 1, 1969 Donna married her life-long companion, Larry Drake in Zion Episcopal Church in Morris.

Donna was a quiet and loving woman who was always supportive of her family and friends. She loved being there to encourage her children and grandchildren with their hobbies and cheer them on with their sporting events and horse shows. She enjoyed playing cards right up until her last days with us. She will notably be remembered for all the years she gladly volunteered her time with the Otsego County 4-H Club. She touched many lives and shaped many futures by doing so.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Larry; children, Tonia (Andrew) Green and Brock (Jessica) Drake; grandchildren, Madison and Ian Green and Landen and Urijah Drake. She also leaves behind her sister, Sally Sargeant and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Tebby Sherwood and sister, Treat Sherwood.

Family and friends are invited to her graveside funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in Hillington Cemetery in Morris.
