HOBART - Donna D. Houghton, 61, of Hobart, passed away suddenly at her home on Oct. 27, 2022.

She was born March 12, 1961, in Margaretville to Gary and Sharon DuMond.

Donna worked as a unit clerk at O'Connor Hospital where she was always good to brighten even the darkest days with a laugh.

Donna was the glue that held her family together. She always put everyone before herself. She had a heart of gold when it came to doing whatever she could to help others.

She loved having play dates with her granddaughter, Haven, spending time with her family and making the most out of life. Her greatest moments were raising her two girls and seeing them achieve their goals and being a Grammy even to those that weren't blood-related. She also enjoyed playing bingo, taking a chance at hitting Lotto, and going to a casino whenever she had the chance.

She was predeceased by her father, Gary DuMond; aunt, Sheryl Hoagland; niece, Valarie DuMond; and cousin, Richard Hoagland.

Donna is survived by her husband of 35 years, Glen Cole; daughters, Brittany (Nathan) Houghton-Depietro of Richfield Springs and Jessica (Jesse) Watson of Hobart; mother, Sharon DuMond of Roxbury; grandchildren, Rappy and Haven; brothers, Danny and David DuMond of Roxbury; brother-in-law, Carl (Anne) Cole of Stamford; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, at MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, where a celebration of Donna's life will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Dykstra.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to South Kortright Central School District, 58200 State Highway 10, South Kortright, NY 13842, to benefit a scholarship in Donna's memory.
