MOUNT VISION - Edward R. Tracy, 75, of Mount Vision, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Edward was born on March 3, 1949, during a thunderstorm in Oneonta. He was a son of the late Richard and Marion (Edwards) Tracy.
In 1969, Edward married the love of his life, Dara (Hoag) Tracy.
Edward was employed for most of his life as a brick layer for Local Union 3. He received his certificate in construction masonry at Delhi College. He worked on many local schools, fire departments and college campus dorms.
Edward enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing, trapping, camping and boating. He was even lucky enough to shoot a bear in the Adirondacks.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Dara; son, Jonathan (Melinda) Tracy; son, Edward Tracy; and grandsons, Gavin Tracy and Ethan Wagner.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca Wagner.
Family and friends are invited to his graveside service in Hillington Cemetery at noon, Saturday, June 15, with certified Celebrant Penny Harrington officiating.
Donations in memory of Edward may be made to the Garrattsville Emergency Squad and Fire Department, 4413 State Highway 51, Garrattsville, NY 13342.
Edward's family has entrusted his care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
