Morris, NY - In Loving Memory of Eleanor Louise Tiffany.

Eleanor Louise Tiffany, of Morris, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends whose lives she touched so profoundly. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, Christian, mentor and friend whose legacy will continue through the countless people she inspired with her kindness, faith, and unconditional love.

Known to all as Louise, she was the daughter of a Methodist minister, Thomas Swales, which may have influenced her marriage to Dr. Norman Tiffany, also a Methodist Minister who, with Louise's support, led congregations in Pennsylvania and New York for almost 50 years.

She is survived by her children, Larry Tiffany and Luann Lipson, and by her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Singer, Tyler Singer, and Devin Tiffany. Given her incredibly good health, she was predeceased by loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.

Louise attended Norwich High School and then graduated with honors from Syracuse University with a BS in business administration and statistics going on to Drew University for graduate studies, where she met Norm. She was repeatedly the Wyoming Methodist Conferences chief statistician and was a driving force in the administration of many of the churches and charges that she and Norm oversaw from Greene, to Clarck's Green, Pennsylvania, to Castle Creek, to Morris and most recently at the Unadilla Center UM Church. Louise loved music, having been the main pianist at Unadilla but making guest appearances at Sand Hill and Mount Upton UM Churches.

To know Louise was to know a woman who embodied the very best of Christian values. She was caring, compassionate, supportive, and endlessly encouraging. Her faith was not something she simply professed ... it was something she wore on her sleeve and lived every day. She believed that every person had a God-given purpose and that there was never a reason to tear someone down when instead you could build them up. Maybe best exemplified in her prolific letter and card writing ministry, as she is known to many in upstate New York, not by her smile or her voice but by her penmanship.

Even in her final days, Louise remained focused on helping others rather than herself. She never had anything but a kind word for those she encountered and constantly sought ways to make life better for the people around her. She led by example, showing that true greatness is measured not by what we achieve for ourselves, but by how we care for others.
