ANDES - Liz passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2021, at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi.
Born Jan. 17, 1932, she was the daughter of Mary and Clarence Stevens.
Liz had worked most of her life for the state, working in Delhi and Margaretville schools as well as at Belleayre Ski Center. Liz had a love for deer hunting and going to Turning Stone to play bingo.
She is survived by her children, Diana Kirk of Roxbury, Rose VanKeuren of Roxbury and Sandra Havrish (Richard) of Davenport. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Christopher Ingram, Melissa and Brian VanKeuren, Jacob and Jason Rossman, Dennis, Denise and Clifton Kirk and Danielle Giambastiani. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Liz was predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Jerry; son-in-law Jim VanKeuren, granddaughter, Jennifer VanKeuren; grandson, Scott Kirk; and her great-grandson, Tyler Clark.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville. A funeral service will be follow with the Rev. Dykstra officiating. Burial will be in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to a cancer organization of one's choice.
