Ellen Wayman Obituary
STAMFORD - Ellen was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She passed following a short illness on Dec. 21, 2020.
She was born to Elsie and LeRoy Clapper on Dec. 23, 1930.
She became the wife of Clayton James Wayman on Jan. 3, 1947. They had four children, Chris (Kathy), Karen (Paul) Koerner, Art (Laura) and Ted; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy.
Her immediate family members include Betty (Harold) Inman, Barbara (Richard) Trimbell, James Clapper and John (Kathy) Clapper; her only surviving sibling and dearest friend, Mary (William) Radford; several nieces and nephews.
She frequently visited her sister, Mary, in Virginia, where she enjoyed the antique shops, historic sites and Sunday morning family gatherings.
She was a dedicated volunteer at Core Values in Stamford. Her sense of humor and fun-loving nature earned her the nickname "The Boss."
Ellen was known as a sweet and kind person who would take time for anyone who needed a listening ear or a bit of laughter.
Her table was never without a beautiful teacup, a good friend or family.
She asked that she be remembered privately.
Donations may be made in her memory to Core Values, Inc., 112 Main St., Stamford, NY 12167. Tell them "The Boss" sent you!
