DELHI - Esther N. Lee of Oneonta, 98, passed away on March 7, 2022.
She was born Oct. 22, 1923, to Anker and Margrethe (Jensen) Norberg in East Meredith. She was the fourth of seven children, all of whom predeceased her.
Esther graduated from Oneonta High School in 1940.
On March 4, 1945, Esther married Robert Lee. He passed away April 1, 1974. Together they had four children, Alan, Richard, Kevin and Gary. Alan and Gary predeceased her; as did her granddaughter, Jennifer Lee Thornton.
She retired from SUNY Delhi after 20 years in 1981.
Esther is survived by sons, Richard (Barbara) of Hamilton, and Kevin (Nancy) of Delhi; grandchildren, Adam Lee of Ithaca, Rebecca (Ian) Vredenburgh of Carthage, North Carolina, and Stephanie (Dennis) Decker of Mount Vision; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at the First Presbyterian Church, Delhi.
All are invited to a reception at the church following the service. Burial will follow that afternoon in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
