Esther Searle Walker Obituary
Sidney, NY - SIDNEY - Esther Searle Walker reunited in Heaven with the loved ones who went before her on Feb. 23, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1935, in Clifton Springs to Leslie and Winifred Searle. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William; and daughter, Gale. She leaves behind her three children, Keith Walker and his late wife Pam, Kimberly Crowe and husband Larry, Tom Walker and wife Renee. She cherished her eight grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Her greatest sources of strength and joy were her family and her unwavering faith in God.
It is difficult to hold both the grief of losing our mother and the joy of celebrating her beautiful life. She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Sidney, a volunteer at Sidney Hospital, school lunch lady, Boy Scout Den Mother, Sunday school teacher, and caregiver to many. Esther worked at Keith Clark, Amphenol and the Penny Saver, always giving her best.
We take comfort in knowing that she has been rewarded with eternal life.
Services for Esther and William Walker will be held on June 25, 2026, their wedding anniversary, allowing their lives to be celebrated together. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Sidney. Graveside committal services will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or Delaware Valley Humane Society, Sidney.
