Oneonta, New York - ONEONTA - Florence Henderson Delameter, 98 passed away July 16, 2025.

Florence was born April 9, 1927 daughter of Lester and Cecile Henderson. She married Carleton J. Delameter on Nov. 17, 1951, spending 66 years together.

Florence was a childcare provider for more than 20 years, affectionately known as "Momma D". She was leader of the Chestnut Chipmunk 4-H club and also volunteered at A.O. Fox Hospital for many years.

Florence will be best remembered for her love and affection for her family, friends, and baking cookies.

Florence is survived by her children, James (Nancy) Delameter, Webster, Linda (Terry) Stiefel, Oneonta, and Cathleen (Andrew) Deubler, Ridgefield, Connecticut; grandchildren, Brian (Kathleen) Delameter, Kevin Delameter, Zachary Deubler, Mackenzie (Matthew) Walker, Abby (Alexander) Haduck, and Griffin Deubler;. and great-grandchildren, Alida and Ellie Delameter and Bensen and Rosemary Walker; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Delameter, parents, three brothers and seven sisters.

Florence and Carl will be interred at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Oct. 17.
